Halloween Recap

Well it feels good to finally be 21, but I am kind of sad because I have no birthday milestones to look forward to in the future.  Here are some videos relating to Halloween shows/events from last weekend.

Little Feat- Fat Man in the Bathtub- as with every Phish Halloween show since 94 the show consisted of three sets of music.  The first and third set comprise of original or standard covers that Phish performs.  The middle set since 1994 has consisted of a "musical costume" of  a famous album.  1994 they covered The Beatles "The White Album", 1995 was The Who's "Quadrophenia", 1996 was The Talking Heads "Remain in Light", 1998 was The Velvet Underground's "Loaded", 2009 was The Rolling Stones' "Exile on Main St", and this year Phish covered their first live album in Little Feat's "Waiting for Columbus."  My favorite song from this album is Fat Man in the Bathtub, but rather than give you the version from the album, the above video is a better version from the 1976 Pinkpop festival.

Dee-Lite-Groove is in the Heart-  A few of my friends made the trek over to Hampton to see The String Cheese Incident perform at the Hampton Coliseum.  While Cheese does not perform a musical costume such as Phish, they usually bust out some interesting covers.  Their cover of "Groove is in the Heart" was less than overwhelming, I still really love this piece of early 90's house/pop.

House Lights set to Thriller- every year people put up videos of their Christmas lights set to music, but this guy set his Halloween lights to Thriller.  The result is very cool.
